Important Notification of Discontinuation
Santander is discontinuing Santander’s Loan Protection Plan (SLPP) and Credit Insurance programs effective June 1, 2017, and on that date, enrollment will be cancelled. If you are currently receiving benefits under these plans, there will be no interruption to your benefits, subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.

Complimentary Protection Period
If you are currently enrolled in SLPP or Credit Insurance on June 1, 2017, The bank will pay for your enrollment in a complimentary protection plan containing the same terms and conditions as your current plan for a six (6) month period from June 1, 2017 through November 30, 2017. During this time, you will be covered for any eligible protected event that occurs. Note that the existing terms, conditions, exclusions and limitations will apply to your period of complimentary protection.

Important Dates Affecting Your Protection

  • Events that occur after November 30, 2017 will not be protected.
  • You will have until May 31, 2018 to submit a request for benefit for a protected event that occurs on or before November 30, 2017.
  • Requests for benefits arising out of a protected event will not be accepted after May 31, 2018.  

What do I need to do?
Contact your bank representative to make a benefit request for any protected event that occurs on or before November 30, 2017. If a protected event does occur on or before November 30, 2017, you must your request for benefit no later than May 31, 2018.
