Checking & Savings Resources – General Questions

Find answers to questions on your Santander Business accounts, including when you’ll receive checks, changing your address, and how to get a copy of a check.*

What checking transactions count towards my allowance in each Service Fee Period?

Basic checking transactions include checks paid, teller deposits, ATM deposits, Money Center deposits, deposited Items, and automated clearing house (ACH) items (electronic debits and credits not originated by customer). Santander Merchant Services (credit and debit card payment processing) and Santander Payroll Services ACH debit items are not included. Basic transaction limits also include Santander Check Deposit Link batch deposits, Santander Check Deposit Link items processed, and Santander Check Deposit Link ACH converted transactions. Service Fee Period means the period beginning on the day regular service fees, such as monthly fees, are posted to your account and ends on the day before service fees are next posted to your account. This may not always be a calendar month.

Are there restrictions on how I can transact on my Business Money Market Savings account?

We limit withdrawals and transfers out of money market savings accounts. You can withdraw or transfer funds from a money market savings account a total of six (6) times per Service Fee Period (such as by automatic or pre-authorized transfers using telephone, online banking, mobile banking, overdraft protection, payments to third parties, wire transfers, checks, and drafts). If you repeatedly exceed these limits, we may close or convert your account to a checking account, which may be a non-interest-bearing checking account.

What is an Account Analysis Fee?

The Account Analysis Fee in your checking statement is a summary charge for most of your checking transaction activity and/or fees for cash management services for the previous calendar month (e.g., cash or check deposits, wire and ACH transactions, charges for remote deposits via a check scanner). You receive a separate Account Analysis statement which provides details on what constitutes this Account Analysis Fee. For information regarding fees, refer to the Business Deposit Account Fee Schedule
